2021-2022
As August comes to a close, the hustle and bustle can be felt all over Collegetown. Campus and Collegetown have filled again with students ready to begin classes and a new year. We know first hand that 95% of our tenants in our Collegetown off-campus housing have returned and many more are to this week. There is some level of anticipation but a lot of excitement as well. The summer is a great time to see friends and family and relax, but now is the time where everyone is ready to get back to their studies and college life. Cornell being an ivy league college is an intensive educational program. Hopefully, summer was a good time for everyone to reset and get ready for it!
What we know
We know this year will have a somewhat normal feel. Normal now is life during a pandemic. Covid has not left and although vaccinations are required for students so are masks again as well. During this time of uncertainty, there is an added pressure on us all. So we all need to continue to be safe and diligent to get through this. The wheels of Cornell have not slowed down and the process of education will continue. Just is the same for our business. All of our furnished apartments near Cornell are fully rented and we are housing all of our students once again. Classes are returning to in-person, and professors are ready to get back to that especially.
Let’s Get Through This Year
This year will be very interesting to see how it plays out. There is a level of uncertainty with Covid. We can hope for the best and that Cornell will stay diligent with its testing and safety precautions to keep the school open. We are doing our best too by wearing masks in the office and on tours and having our maintenance workers wear masks while they are working in an apartment. Our goal is to maintain our student apartment rentals near Collegetown, Ithaca so our tenants can have the best possible off-campus experience.
