Do July showers bring August flowers?
The saying goes, “April showers bring May flowers”. Well this month so far in Ithaca has been nothing but showers. It is a reason to be a little frustrated, but remember the sun is coming! So if you are staying with us in our Cornell off-campus housing and trying to enjoy the beautiful summer in Ithaca, do not despair. Rain = Waterfalls
The one good thing about all of this rain id it makes the waterfalls flow really good. Last August in Ithaca, we had a drought and the water was barely trickling down the falls. If you go right now, the waterfalls are flowing. You can truly appreciate all of their power and majesty in these conditions. So if you are staying in your student apartment rental near Cornell for the summer, go take advantage of these waterfalls. Listen to the sound alone is absolutely beautiful. There is so much to do and so much to see even with all of this rain.
